Just got me a PS3 the other day. I bought Fight Night Round 3 being as I love me some boxing. It's a pretty awesome game. I had the first one on XBox(Old School Now). My thing is I am trying to find some more good games. I am in to the RPG games that allow you to level your character up from level 1 to whatever is the max. Kinda like, well just like WOW. I guess what I am getting at is I really miss the open range of the not stop living world of WOW and I am trying to find a PS3 game that is simular to it. Below are the ones I have on my list to get so far. If you have played any of them let me know how they are and If you know of any others let me know that as well.

Assassin's Creed, Bioshock, GTA IV are all great games. I was extremely disappointed in Godfather 2 and MSG 4.
MSG 4 was all cut scenes and takes forever to even play.

I got my PS3 for Christmas. Me and my brother chipped in and my mom and dad gave us some money towards it. We got the 160GB Drakes Fortune edition and an extra controller for $375.00 brand new sealed on ebay. Live.com was doing a cash back promotion when we got it. 30% cash back. In stores it would have sold for $550.00 and tax.

I'm a die hard gamer, been gaming since I was 2-3 years old. I play every day. I'm picky about my games and I think most new games coming out are trash, but here are a few suggestions.

1. Metal Gear Solid 4. I would recommend playing the other 3 first, so you know the storyline. If you don't know the storyline the game isn't nearly as good. One of the greatest games ever made in my opinion.
2. Resident Evil 5. Haven't gotten this one yet, but its Resident Evil. That's all you need to say. Awesome gory brutal survival horror action. Like Metal Gear Solid I would recommend playing the other games in the series, so you really understand whats going on. Resident Evil 1 for Playstation was one of the greatest games ever made, its in my top 3 games for Playstation 1. Resident Evil 4 was a masterpiece. I've beaten it at least 15 times. Such a fun game. Resident evil was more of a slow paced puzzle/horror game. Resident Evil 4 changed everything we knew about the game. Its now more of an action shooter with ridiculous graphics. No wonder 4 got game of the year!
3. Killzone 2. This was one of the most highly anticipated games to be released in 2009. I haven't played this yet (yeah I'm broke, can't afford new games), I've heard its really addicting.
4. Deadspace. Its like Resident Evil, but in space. Horrible monsters and mutants in a dark gory environment. Action packed, great graphics, and things that will make you sh*t yourself. Gotta love the Survival Horror genere!
5. MLB 09: The Show. If your a sports fan, I'd get this game. MLB 2K9 came out at the same time and got really poor reviews. When this one came out it received a 9.0 out of 10, which is very good. Cutting edge graphics, solid game play, lots of fun.
6. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. I wouldn't have bought this game if it didn't come with my PS3, but I'm glad I played it! I've beaten it about 3-4 times now. Its a lot like the Tomb Raider games, your exploring remote jungles in South America, going through ancient ruins, searching for treasure. It's like a modern day Indiana Jones, except more badass, more action. The squeal to this game is coming out in 09, "game of the year" candidate.
7. Street Fighter IV. STREET FIGHTER! One of the most classic games of all time. Revolutionized the fighting genre of video games. The graphics are awesome, the old characters are back and better than ever, and the game play is solid.
8. Grand Theft Auto IV. I have been playing Grand Theft Auto since it was out on SNES and Playstation 1. Looked nothing like it does now. The first remake on PS2 was a hit, which then lead to the sequel Vice City which was such a classic game. San Andreas added onto the success of Vice City adding more features. I haven't played the new one yet, but it sports a cool perfect 10 rating from gamespot, one of 5 games ever to do so. Looks good, but more of the same.
9. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I am an RPG junkie. I love a good long 100+ hour game that has a storyline. One of my first games ever was The Legend of Zelda (the original for NES). Ever since then I've always loved Medieval style RPG's. It got a 9.5 from gamespot, which makes it the third highest rated game on PS3. You can buy the "game of the year edition" of this game on eBay for $30.00! It includes the original and the expansion pack for the game as well as bonus features.
10. Assasins Creed. It got a nice 9 rating. It was one of the most anticipated games ever. People were wearing Assassins Creed signatures on forums 3-4 years before the game was even released! Haven't played this one yet, but I hear its a all around good game.

Those are my top 10. Death to xBox!

I think I'm leaning towards Killzone 2 or COD:World at War. I have a good friend of mine who plays COD:WAW so I could hook up with him if I get that one. I would much rather a good RPG but I would also like a good MMOG.

P.S. It's kinda freaky how much you and I have in common Cory. I also noticed you liked that 5 Vegas Classic.

Rain just let up here for like an hour and me and my dad went out for a smoke, I had that Isla del Sol. Very nice smoke. Can still smell it on my fingers.

When Diablo 3 comes out you should get it, I can't wait for this thing. If you think cigars or cigarettes are addictive, you obviously haven't tried Diablo games. I've found myself on it for 18 hours straight at times.

As for the RPG's on PS3, there aren't any good ones out yet. There were a few that got a 8.5 rating. We are waiting on a Squaresoft game though. Final Fantasy XIII should be awesome. xBox screwed us royally though. The USA/Europe release date was set to be the same day as the Japanese release date, except xBox decided to butt in the deal and making it not exclusive for PS3. So they had to put off the release date another YEAR for USA/Europe, since they have to re-code the game to work with xBox. I think it has already released in Japan. But Japan gamers don't use xBox. There was a study on this, 99.3% of Japanese gamers have PS3 (amazing how fast they update their technology). A couple people out of a hundred may have an xBox, and 90% of those also have a PS3.

I love Final Fantasy games though, grew up on them. 12 was such an amazing game, can't wait for 13!

Diablo! I was on the waiting list for Diablo 2. I got a little figure and all. I use to play all night till it was time to go to work. That sucked. I posted about D3 here not to long ago. The trailers look awesome. I went from D2(on PC) to Medal of Honor then Call of Duty then Battlefield 1942 then World of Warcrack. WOW had me hooked for about 3 years. I took some time off of gaming then this past christmas the wife and I got "the kids" a Wii. The Wii is cool but it ran its course quick. I am now getting back into the console gaming world with the PS3. Your right about the RPG's for the PS3, I really haven't seen any that are all that great. The problem is though I am compairing them to WOW which, is not gonna happen. WOW is to massive. Since I can't find the right RPG I figured I'd go to my next choice FPS'ers. I got COD:WAW yesterday and its pretty sweet. It's gonna take some time coming from a mouse and keyboard to a console controller, but practice makes perfect. I'm gonna start a post for Playstation Network names so we can all hook up in the gaming world.

Its funny, I got a PS3 yet I find myself mostly playing PS1 RPG's and some PS2 RPG's. I like to replay those games I've played dozens of times. Right now I'm playing Vagrant Story, which is probably my #1 game of all time. Awesome classic RPG. Every video game should play that game before they die.

I love all of the Call of Duty games and Brothers in Arms. Killzone was OK, Godfather I was great, Uncharted was excellent. There's my 2 cents!

Assassin's Creed and GTA IV may give you more of the "Level Up" type of play that you are looking for. I'm not sure of MPORG for the PS3.

I am so sad that the release date for this game is no where insight.
Fallout 3 is a good RPG but on the ps3 it lacks some of the DLC. It is a game that will last you if you really want to do all the side missions. I have yet to find myself bored with it. Since I do not have much time right now I have prevented myself from buying all of the DLC and even picking up the game because I know once I start I might not stop for days.
Bioshock is a great game, but if you get scared a little easy like me it might not be for you. Bioshock 2 will be coming out soon enough and you can pick this game up cheap it should not be overlooked.
Assassins Creed I got it brand new for $20, so you can most likely find this game cheap used. However, I feel that this game gets repetitive after awhile and is not worht the $59.99 price tag but for under $20 its well worth it.
Deadspace Since bioshock got to me I did not venture into this game. But I have heard its a great game, just not for me.
MLB:The Show 09 The best baseball game out there for any platform. I love baseball so this game was a no brainer. After being forced to deal with MLB 2k8 on my 360 I was so happy to get a PS3 and this game.
Grand Theft Auto IV Some people love this game, but to me this game is as repetitive as Assassins Creed. I still have yet to finish the story in the game, but some of my friends finished it within a week or less. It might be just me but GTA always seems repetitive and their idea of free to roam is miniscule compared to Fallout 3.
Killzone 2 Great game and story, I actually finished this game unliked Resistance 2. The mulitplayer mode is actually really fun but like other online shooters unless you have a lt of time devoted to play the game online or you are just that naturally talented you will reach a platue in development.
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune This game is definitely on my list of next games. The problem is that I cannot find it cheap new or used. Until it comes down in price I wont be buying it.
