Best cell phone with touch screen and keyboard

Ok first The Iphone is out because AT&T works like crap at my job, so I can't use it. Plus I really want a phone with a nice large touch screen and a keypad/keyboard. I txt a lot, and while driving so the touch screen by its self won't work very good for me.

Anybody have any ideas? I will be getting a new phone in June or July.

LMAO!! your that guy I tossed my big gulp at the other day cause he almost slammed into the side of my truck cause he was txting when he shoulda been watchin the road! I have no room to talk.....i do it to. Im just better at it than everybody else.

hmm....have u looked at the blackberry storm? Verizon caries it it hast a touch screen only but it is one big button that makes a click so it feels like a key board. Large screen od graphics and such. I was looking at it my self my mom picked one up so she could chat with me while im in Iraq and she loves it she was not a texter before and is able 2 hanle it just fine.

Of the top of my head i dont know of a touch screen/keyboard but ill look around?

I have the lil brother of the HTC Tilt ( the HTC 8525) and Love it!!

Dont know what service you have but I had one that was unlocked (ATT or T-mobile) and my second which is still locked to ATT.




I want to move up to the new Tilt but its not in my price range yet.

Thanks for the website Brad, I will check it out when I get the chance. Verizon does have a HTC with a slide down keyboard but its like $350 and has bad reviews, that its very slow etc.. And they don't carry them in store , so really can't try it out.

The Storm is an option, but I really want a key board. I have a BlackBerry Pearl now and can txt with it without even looking at the phone. No way I could do that with a Storm!

The Touch Pro may be up your alley. Sprint, Verizon (though they have neffed a few features), and whats left of Alltel all carry it. Its the CDMA version of the AT&T Fuze. Ive got the previous model, PPC6800/Mogul, and like it. Though Windows Mobile phones are not necceceritly easy to use for the first timer, they take some tweaking to get it right.

I've had a G1 (t-mobile) for a few months now and really like it. Their 3g seems to be a little hit and miss though, Verizon seems to be the way to go for best reception.

I thought I would pick between Sprint and Verizon but because they use the same kind of network. But after talking to a couple huts here at work that have Sprint I'm going to stick with Verizon. Verzion works a lot better here at work then Sprint. I have also decided to stick with BlackBerry, my contract is up in July not June like I thought. In September the new Storm 2 comes out, so I will either go with that or the Curve. So I will have to pick between touch screen or keyboard without getting both. The Storm 2 will also come with WiFi and I'm leaning towards it. But thanks for everybodies help!
