Yeah, I did the update to my phone... it was kind of a *yawn* when I did it though. Yeah, the searching is nice, the cut and paste is nice, etc. But nothing that I could have done without.

My wife and i are talking about switching providers this summer so we can get the iphone. Shes a med student and the iphone has apps for doctors that are supposed to be very helpful. Have you used the cigar app much. I read a thread about it a couple months ago, but haven't seen any updates.

My contract with ATT was running out so I called to see what they had to offer me to stay. Got a refurbed 8gb iPhone 3G for $40 with 3 months data service comped. Received on Wednesday, jail broke about 2 hours later (did not really need to do so, just the kind of thing I would do). Waited several hours for it to activate with new sim card and finally broke down and installed my sim from the old phone. Worked pretty well immediately. Been playing with it since then and it looks like my newest time drain. However, it still is not connecting to 3g.

I switched from the very first iPhone to the 3Gs when they first came out. AMAZING! So much faster.
I don't see many other reasons to have any other phone than the iPhone except you don't like ATT (they got much better since I got my first iPhone) or you are a rebel and just resiting something just not to follow the crowd. There may be a few more business related but the iPhone is getting better at that as well... The phone is beautiful. Simple clean design with a great screen. Even the packaging the phone came with is prettier than 99% of the phones out there. LOL |
