You need to visit this place. A true man cave. While in Knoxville on business this week I discovered the changes in the long standing cigar shop.

Knoxville Cigar Company moved to a new location in the downtown area earlier this year. They've slightly renamed the store as they now have a bar. They are now located in the "Old Town" section about two and a half blocks E / NE from Downtown's Market Square.

They have nicely remodeled a large older building. One side include the leather seats, cutters, lighters, pipes and a huge well lighted wall in humidor. A archway leads you to the bar side of things. In groups of 4 are large low modern leather chairs surrounding a low square coffee tables. A long bar with seating for 20 curves along one side. A huge plama tv overlooks one side of the seating. Soft music fills the air. The bottles behind the bar are a huge selection of bourbon, scotch, and whiskeys. So much so, that they easily displace any idea that "fru-fru" drinks with umbrellas are a common place drink in this place. An 6 X 8 foot windowed beer cooler displays over 180 imported and small brewery labels.

Sometimes you just have to go. The've installed modern plumbing fixtures, marble, and made a bathroom fit to enter. To often I've seen these remodeled older businesses left with the original 3 X 6 ft bathroom with vintage 1900 fixtures, walls, paint, and smells. A important fact, is air flow. They have the most efficent and low noise system I've ever witnessed. The air stayed fresh throughout the night. Finally, they offer a selection of sandwiches and snacks to keep you going all night long.

Should you find yourself in Knoxville, TN, head downtown to the old town and try out a fantastic man cave. Every city should have one and I sure wish Nashville was the one!
