Robusto's Cigar Lounge is Awesome!

I went out to the opening of Robusto's Cigar Lounge in Katy, Texas which just so happens to be my home.
This lounge is the long awaited place created by CigarLive members Dan and Lynn of Richmond Avenue Cigars in Houston, Texas. Two of the nicest people you will ever meet Dan and Lynn treate every person they meet like they have known them for years. I have to just say that this place is huge. With over 4200 sq ft of space just indoors and over 2000 outside in a skyline patio and lower outdoor patio this place has plenty of room to do some great events.

So I get there around 8:30 and some of my neighbors are allready there and I look across the room and who do I see? Sitting at a table with his son is architeuthis our very own CigarLive moderator. I know from the start this is going to be a great night out. So I bring a friend into the humi for a great selection of cigars. Call it everything under the sun and more cigars than I could ever smoke. Inside the humi another fellow member SmokingHandsomeDude walks up and says are you Daniel? Wow another member.

I had a seat at one of the tables and spoke with Dan and Lynn about the upcoming events planned for the Lounge. Well it looks like Robusto's is going to be a great hang out. I did not leave until around 1:00AM which was when I started taking pictures of the humi. I plan on stopping back by soon to take more pictures when I am not filled with mojitos and tequila so I can take some better pictures. I have got to show what they did with the bar using tobacco leaves inset into the top of the bar.

Over 4000 sqft indoors
Over 2000 sqft of skyline and ground floor patios
Private lounge upstairs with Conference room/Movie Room and more.
Two downstairs humidors
Cigar Lockers
Lounge and bar open until 2:00 AM
Huge Bar with plenty of seats.
Great Staff that knows their cigars as well as drinks
Plenty if parking
Most of all the lounge is open to everyone. You can go in and buy cigars and smoke them there in the lounge or take them home.

Very nice! The wife's brother lives in Katy and she is always bugging me about going to visit them. Might have to bump it up on the to do list.

Stopped by as promised to watch the Usual Suspects hard at work... <G> Robusto's was not yet completed (still needed some trim and flooring and a few other things; it'll be completely finished in no time) but the bar and humidor were open. This place is gonna be THE PREMIER CIGAR HOT-SPOT in the Houston area! I kid you not, I was very very impressed. Took my son along and we had a few cigars and jawed with the locals for a few hours. Stogie showed up with his "camera". I use quotes because it's gone from a simple camera to an entire backpack full of equipment... <G> Don't tell anybody but I think Stogie is a geek at heart. He brought along some friends and we all got to talk for a bit. Believe me, if you live anywhere within striking distance, or are ever passing through Houston, Robusto's is an absolute MUST for a cigar smoker. And Squid is not really that easily impressed...
