Never heard of Don Benigno Cigars! You have any details on them? Like where are they made, what kind of filler, binder, wrapper? How many different line, price?
So even for the event do you have to be a memeber to get into the smoking area?

Don Benigno Cigars

Clay is a good friend of mine. I've been smoking cigars for over 15 years and this is without a doubt, my favorite - PERIOD. I bet I've smoked over 1000 of these in the 3 years I've been smoking these and I've had maybe 2 or 3 that did not draw or burn that well. It's a very exclusive cigar. the best way to get your hands on some is to visit his web site and see what stores carry them....

Price

The price varies where you find them, but they range from $10 - $22 per stick.

The wrapper, binder, and filler is a family secret. We like to call it a Caribbean blend. That's all I can tell you.

Check out their site for all the different vitolas. Most of the sticks are medium, but very complex with LOADS of flavor!

Hey Crup! Remember when we got these? OMG. Buttered pancakes.
Price is on the higher side -- but it's a nice treat. Don B's come in a nice simple tradition box, Clean Band. No flash. All cigar. It's definatly a boutiquey brand. Graycliff like in that respect...but without the resort history. Coasta Rica is home for Mr.Benigno. He rolls his stuff too. Limited in the fact that he isn't 'mass' producted. And they are selective about who and where the cigars go. They won't flood the market.

This is weird. Somebody gifted me a Benigno cigar that's been sitting. I picked it up out of the humi this morning to smoke it tonite, and thought I'd look it up since I don't know anything about it. I find this old thread that just got bumped 3 weeks ago. I'll find out tonite how good this bad boy is.

The Don Benigno is MY FAVORITE cigar - Hands Down. I am good friend with Clay Thompson, the owner Don Benigno Cigars USA. Benigno is a great guy! I spent a week in Costa Rica last year with Clay and had an opportunity to hang out with Benigno. A trip I will never forget.

Yes, he is VERY selective who carries their cigar. I can tell you this.... Just to tell you how good of a cigar it is, Davidoff in New York started carrying them last year, and you know they only sell the best of the best.
