The best Mexican food in the world is on the other side of SA, in Helotes, a few miles from where I grew up. If you have never been to El Chaparral, you would never even know...

However, for damn good barbeque, there is always Rudy's, and there is one closer, actually in NB...

I'll eat some BBQ with you sunday if you want to. Before the herf I plan on going to Adobe Verde in Gruene, which is right around the block from Rudy's. Maybe I'll make it to El Chaparral soon, I'm going to Kerrville the weekend before Thanksgiving, maybe I can swing by there than.

El Chaparral will be opening their 2nd location @ Gold Canyon & 1604 very soon. They are doing the finish out now.

Your are right it is some of the BEST Texas Mexican food!!
