Pictures of a thief

These pictures are of a person who attempted to take cigars from Richmond Avenue Cigar on 3/20/08. Upon review of our security cams he appears to have taken a couple of other items we were unaware of at that time. This is just a heads up to make other Houston retailers on this board aware of him. He left behind a school notebook with his name in it. I am also including his DOB etc.

Even though this guy is 23 years old, what you do is call his parents and explain that you have security camera footage of their dear sweet son stealing from you. Everyone is scared of their dad and everyone hates to be seen as a disappointment to their mother.

Did you report him to the police, it looks like you have enough proof and information on him to press charges!

FYI. ... only know this because I had to go through it.... be carful about putting up his info..... (granted I think its awesome!) but legally, until prosecuted I think thats a no go... BUT feel free to have it up and visiable in your location. And to notify surrounding locations. I got into a stink with some lawyers for doing the same thing. The guy tried to sue me... and it was crazy... went into credit fraud and all (his claim). I say leave it, but the lil good girl in me kept saying to tell

Criminals seem to have more rights than the law abiding. The last job I worked at we caught an employee stealing inventory using a video surveillance. The police refused to prosecute becasue we didn't have continuous footage of him taking the items and walking out of the store with them. It may be a little different for customer vs. employee, but you get the point.

Damn, that's the crap that drives me nuts. In the end prices sometimes go up and we, as smokers of the leaf, get stuck with paying it. That shit sucks.

Put his photo and info in the store window, and a brief summary of the instance, Use the line at the bottom of the 'flier', in small print, just as they do on these cop shows on TV...'not guilty until proven so in a court of law, but this establishment hasn't the funds nor time to play thru the red tape'...then when he comes back in, clean his clock..old school, you kno!!

sonufabitch! What a punk! I mean, What an [I]alleged[I] punk. Well Dan, I think you know enough cops . . . . you should see if one of THEM will call his mommy for you. Not in an official capacity, of couse, just as a friendly suggestion to return all un-smoked merchandise and then never return to Richmond Ave-- in exchange for his notebook and guarantee that he will not be prosecuted.

I wonder if his mommy even knows her baby smokes . . . . Would be funny if he was in the store during a time when he was supposed to be at work or in school.
