Question Houston Area Cigar Mfg's.?

Herfers,
There used to be a dew local business (Texan Cigar Co. comes to mind) who manufactured cigars on premises in the greater Houston area. Are there any around who are still in business and where might they be located?

Thanks in advance,
Dub

Re: Houston Area Cigar Mfg's.?

I'll probably be shopping for a new dishwasher Saturday, but will certainly keep this in mind. If you've not found a cigar friendly place to eat, talk to the people at Outriggers directly under the Kemah bridge on the North (Seabrook) side (if you decide to quit your day job to buy a shrimp boat after having their blackened shrimp fish tacos don't blame me). An alternative to getting down there is to take the Beltway North from I-45, exit Genoa Redbluff. Right on Genoa Redbluff until it dead ends into Red Bluff Rd. Right again on Redbluff to Hwy146. You can turn right on Hwy 146 and head on down. Distance from the toll road to Kemah is only 14 miles.

Re: Houston Area Cigar Mfg's.?

We plan to eat dinner at Cadillac Bar in Kemah. The lower level is cigar friendly and a band starts playing at 8 pm. We have reservations at 6 pm.

I agree that Outriggers is a great place but I've never thought about them for cigar smoking. Their crab dip is also excellent.

Dub's directions above work great if you don't mind some back roads. That's my normal route. For those less sure of directions, just take hwy 225 to Hwy 146 and go south. But whatever you do, do not take the Gulf Freeway. It will be closed.
