One thing that took my wife and I awhile to realize..

If it all falls into place rather easily and gracefully, it was meant to be.

If is a constant battle, it was not.

Once we came to terms with this, the best decisions for us, and now our daughter, were made. We found homes, made career changes, etc.. that were almost effortless. When we fought about things and challenges presented themselves in every direction we found the decision in the end was the wrong one.

It took a long time to understand how the universe worked for our family, but once we did life got a lot easier.

Best of luck with everything. Once you get settled you may find something waiting on your doorstep.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and the advice.

We are going today to sign some more paperwork at the bank to get our loan set. Our inspection is scheduled for Friday morning and the bank should be setting up theirs soon.

I will let everyone know how the inspection goes.

Well the inspection went less than stellar.

We get there and find out that the previous owner really liked his thermostat and decided to take it with him. Also the water that was supposed to be turned on isn't or something else is up.

Luckily the guy with the inspection company made it sound like no big deal and said just to reschedule. The bank appraiser also showed up and said he would reschedule also. He wasn't supposed to come out today but lived in the area and swung by since someone else canceled.

We are now waiting to hear back and see when or if they are going to take care of these issues.

My sister just got her house in her name and have been going through some stressing issues more drastic then these but rest assured things will work out man. Keep us updated.

The inspection didn't uncover much more than we already knew but even with a thermostat put in the A/C would not work. The fan would blow from the air handler but the outside unit was not working. We waited for a couple of days to hear back on what they were going to do but got nothing.

Yesterday afternoon we sent them an addendum stating our inspection time was ending so we needed them to put in writing that they would extend it and fix the A/C or we would be walking away. Luckily they responed to that quickly saying they will be fixing the A/C and asked if there was anything else needed.

Hopefully they get it fixed this weekend so we can check it out again so we can get to closing before the end of the month. Thanks for the support everyone.

That's great man! Our AC and furnace was the biggest issue as well, The HVAC guy they got at our request said they are in good shape for their age. Now I'm working on alot of little nusences in our house. (we settled and moved in last weekend). Glad to see it coming together for you!

I felt like I should update this thread also.

It is done, we closed on the house today, the banks and title company had alot of last minute work but got everything done.

We are so happy to finally be homeowners we went and turned on the a/c so when we move tomorrow it will be nice inside. We still have a oven, fridge, washer and dryer to buy but my parents were nice enough to give me some money to get some appliances.

Still holding on to my Opus Forbidden X until tomorrow night to break in the house.
