Worst day of my life.... so far.

Missy is doing better and better. We stopped giving her the pain meds. I think the meds were making her feel worse. She must not be in much pain cause she is moving around alot better since we stopped them. She is starting to scratch her wounds so they must be healing. We go in tomorrow at 1pm to get the stitches taken out.

Missy is walkin around more and more. Today she hasnt ate much at all but she still takes her meds. She has a nasty cough still. But the vet assures us her lungs are ok. So its either just mucus and stuff built up in her throat or could be a heart problem. I dont think it is cause she didnt have it before. At least i hope its not. She still has us pretty worried. Her poor neck is rock hard from the muscle healing. Its a slow process.

Been a few weeks now and she is really doing good. This last weekend she really got better. She started eating dry dog food again.....on her own...we didnt have to shove it infront of her. She even played with her mini tennis ball. Her neck is starting to loosen up. She moves her head more and more everyday. The scabs are starting to fall off. Her little barker still dont work very well but if thats all that is wrong after an ordeal like that we will take it! Ill post some pics one of these days after my wife reads all of these posts.......she dont wanna see the pictures and i dont blame her.

Yeah ive decided against posting pictures of the scene. On a lighter note. Red (the chew....wowa) ate about $75 worth of PS2 controlers and started eating speaker cables! So he was tossed in puppy prison (the kitchen) and baby gated in. When i got home........he was in living room grinning! Turns out he can jump.

Little update. Missy is doin lots better. So good she decided to steal Red's chew toy when he wasnt looking. Bad idea! The little chew-wowa launched and bit her neck and busted the skin! Pour girl just cant catch a break.....this was her fault though. Didnt hurt her just a scratch. Laura just sent me a picture of Missys little tongue that hangs out now cause her bottom front teeth are missing. If it wasnt so sad it would be cute. Her hair is growing back from where she was shaved. She seems to have full movement of her neck but still cant talk like she used to. She tries really hard but can just barely squeek.

Poor little girl. Looks like shes doing better now. It helps to have a good dad.
