colon cancer is a bad one... my mother-in-law lost her battle in 2004. she was only 60 years young. her cancer was very aggressive and by the time they found it it was already staged as 4... and terminal... for quality of remaining life issues, she chose to not fight the cancer and just treat symptoms palliatively... which was a frustratingly difficult decision for her loved ones to bear. Cancer needs to be fought aggressively and that she wasn't doing so nearly killed us emotionally... but we respected her decision...
the best chances we have to fight it and win is thru early detection... I certainly hope the best for your wife..
