No the Mi Barrio and Cubao are not the same cigar. The Mi barrio is a limited cigar, not sure all the details on it. I never did smoke the one I picked up, its a large cigar and I just don't smoke many large cigars.

By the way I did a interview with Erik Espinosa of EO (601), if you didn't get a chance to read it check it out http://www.puff.com/Content/One-on-O...young-gun.html

Thanks Frank
I was waiting for your reply!!
Thats what I thought, the Cubao is new, I read your interview now three times. good stuff (you lucky son of a gun)

Questions: here we go (I know you have his contact info lol)

1: So do you think Cubao will replace Mi Barrio eventually or just complement the line?
2: What price range do you think the Cubao will be in?
3: Will the Cubao be less limited then the Mi Barrio?

Re: Mi Barrio

The Cubao is out and a reg line, so the only limits is keeping it stocked! They are selling very good and a very good smoke 601 Cigars from SeriousCigars.com I have a box of Lanceros but I think the # 7 which is 6 x 42 is a better smoke, and its their newest size in the line. I really don't know much about the Mi Barrio, I think they are coming out with different sizes for the four different seasons but I don't know that for sure, and to be honest didn't even think to ask Erik when I talked to him about it.

Re: Mi Barrio

Yes, they are out. To my knowledge, they only come in one size - Double Corona. This is one of the very few Pepin cigars I have not tried. A buddy had one and said it wasn't great, but not bad, but he'd been drinking all day, so I can't go on that.

I'd like to see a review on this cigar.

Re: Mi Barrio

I am looking forward to trying the Mi Barrio, but I just do not care for double corona vitola.

I am sure it's good (It's s Pepin cigar), but I cannot imagine it being better than the Cubao!

hey dave... the mi barrio is going to be released in 4 sizes, two of which are currently available: El Puro which is the double corona 7.5x52 and El Acere a hefty robusto measuring 5.25x52... i dont particuarly like a double corona but i tried the mi barrio in the robusto size and loved it (alot of leather and spice... med-full)

the next two releases are El Forro 6 1/8x50 and El Bilitero 7x48

they are very limited release so i would try to get ur hands on em sooner rather than later... a little pricey imo but im a DPG freak and shelled out the $ for El Acere and will glady shell out some more for the next two vitolas... hope this helps
