I recently received my order of various cigar tabacco seeds. Incredible how such tiny seeds (size of pepper) can create such beautiful leaves. In a couple months I will get them germinated and eventually grow them outside. Not sure how expensive and time consuming it is to build a kiln. If any of you have grown your own cigar tobacco, how did they taste?
Yes this is very intriguing to have a cigar that is completely yours but this just sounds like way too much work for me. I really wish I could roll my own every once in awhile, that would be pretty cool.
Take some photos along the way. I'd be interested in seeing your progress.
I am certainly not expecting amazing results. But I thought why not give it a try. For fun of course. The issue is not growing the plants as much as fermenting the leaves etc. I am going to start in April by having the seeds germinate and grow in doors. FYI I live in Minnesota so this will be very interesting. I will keep you up to date and try to show pics of the progress, or lack thereof.
