Just discovered Maduros

I just started smoking regularly a few months ago. When I started I had an indian tabac maduro and hated it. It has been the only stick I threw away an inch and a half in. Ever since I have avoided them even though I know the wrapper does not make the stick. I started like a lot of newbies wanting milder smokes with Connecticut wrappers.
I bought some samplers on here that had some maduros in them and decided to give them another shot. Wow is all I can say. I've smoked the Olivia G and Nub Maduros this week. They were the best smokes I have had yet. I can't wait to try more now. Its funny how taste change the more you smoke. I love this hobby.

I love the dark Maduro wrappers. Every time i try a Maduro cigar in Non Cuban format the sweetness makes me nauseous. Except for Cuban Maduro wrappers like on the EL"s they do not bother me at all funny.:brushteeth:

The only cuban Maduros are the Cohiba Maduro 5 line. Of the 3 vitolas I've only had the secretos... It was fantastic.

Yes - Maddies along with Corojos will always be a staple in the humidor. Always in the winter I crave a nice, sweet-tasting Maduro.

Re: Just discovered Maduros

I'm a big fan of the Oliva G Maduro too, especially given the price. Some of my favorite maduro recommendations:
  • C.A.O. Brazilia
  • 601 Blue Label
  • Ashton Aged Maduro
  • Rocky Patel Vintage 1990
  • Rocky Patel Edge Maduro
  • Don Pepin Garcia JJ Maduro
  • Diesel
