AF Short Story Natural and Maduro.

Hey all,

Just curious to see what everyone thinks about the natural verses the maduro short story. I was lucky enough to grab seven SSM's when my local B&M had a box in stock (I have five left). I picked up two short stories a few days ago to compare them to the maduro. Great flavor and a fantastic smoke, but it didn't knock my socks off like the maduro did. I tend to smoke maduro's quite a bit more than cigars with a natural wrapper, so I definitely favor the SSM. It's usually the same with other cigars. My go-to cigar is the Padron 2000 Maduro. I like the 2000 natural, but don't love it. There is just something about the smooth espresso flavors that I pick up from the darker wrappers.

Let me know what you all think!

I love the natural and love the maduro even more. The maduro only came out last year and I cant wait to see how they develop.

I've had the natural and got a couple sitting in the humi. IMHO one of the best small NC's you can buy. I love the fact that it is a perfecto as well. Not had the maduro yet, might have to look in to getting one to try. If it is as good as the WOAM then I am sold!

I've been eyeing these up lately, lots of great reviews. I'll have to grab some at the b&m next time.

Hopefully you can find some. They are in very limited quantities now. The owner of my local B&M said he was lucky to get two boxes. I can't find anywhere online where they are for sale. I believe I saw one retailer a while back that was selling them for over $10 a piece. My shop had them at the same price as the natural, around five bucks.

Re: AF Short Story Natural and Maduro.

Last years SS were fantastic. The SSM was even better, to me it tasted like a WOAM(pre-new band) but sweeter. I'm not sure if last year's WOAMs were as good as the SSM but man, are those SSMs good!

My backyard is more humid than my humidor.

No that the SS is a bad cigar by any means but SSM is in a league of it's own for sure!
