Cigar Friendly Hotels/Resorts

I know that there are a lot of cigar friendly places out there especially in the Caribbean but they are getting few and far between here in the States (with the exception of Las Vegas). With that said, here is a place that seems to really embrace us cigar smokers without intruding on the non-smoking guests.

The Don CeSar resort is in St. Pete Beach Florida and is one of the oldest resorts in the area having been built in the '20s. It is pink and looks like old money, but do not let that fool you it is pretty nice and it has some of the best customer service of any hotel I have ever been to and I travel most of the time.

The food here is pricey as are the drinks but the cigars are pretty reasonable (think small B&M prices). They have a small display humi at the pool bar, one at the store inside the hotel, another one at the Sea Porch bar and the last one at the lobby bar. They have a decent selection (a lot of Macanudos) and they are definitely taken care of as the hygro is reading 70*/68-70%rh and they are checked and rotated daily. They are bought at a local cigar place called Central Cigars and that may be who checks on them. Each place that sells them keeps cutters and matches (paper not wood) and the staff seems to be pretty knowledgable at the bars not the store.

Anyway, check it out.

In spite of the much fewer than before, cigar friendly hotel and resort properties Stateside, this is a great thread.

I recently asked the question about a certain city and was going to start a thread about the now rare breed but search and ye shall find and here it was started in 2006!

Sorry to see no additions. However, it would be great to use this platform to mention any properties that are discovered and add them to this thread.

Brother pwaggs mentioned in another thread;
