I was always taught that it was rude to talk about someone behind their back.

Again it brings me to my point. Why not be up front and discuss with talked about member? Seems childish to let someone know they are being talked about without filling them in on what is being said.

I used to think I was indecisive, but now I am not too sure?

My Dad always said, if it smells like fish it ain't fresh...

And then there's that one about something being rotten in Denmark...

But thanks for the insight, I think... @poppajon75

I'll say this much then. The moderator team has gone above and beyond to ask everyone to put the issue behind them and move forward apparently to no avail. Snide comments and digs are simply going to elevate the matter. It's going downhill fast, and something's going to have to give.
The decision about Tyson has been made, and will not be reversed. There's not anything left to debate about it.

It seems to have been overlooked that Tyson chose to leave. He said he was taking his bat and ball and wouldn't be back. The gate was locked behind him because the epithets he decided to throw out as he left were the final straw in a series of incidents going back several months. Nevertheless, his choice to leave... and his choice to act-up on his way out, knowing that he'd already been given a pass several times and alerted that he'd used up his quota.

Just so you guys know, we have an "infraction" system, sort of like points on your driver's license. Accumulate enough points and your "driving privileges" gets revoked. Thing is, we've learned the hard way that issuing infraction points tends to just rile up the member receiving them, often resulting in them saying things in PM's that make the problem and the punishment worse. Therefore, we often just keep up with recurring problems through discussion and by PM's addressing the problem with the member(s) in question - particularly when it involves a regular member. Sometimes we determine that it wasn't really a problem and requires neither action nor any strikes against the member. But - and please pay attention to this - we still have to discuss it to reach that determination; and that must be done in private. It's what we're charged with doing by the site owners; part of the job we are expected to do.
