I definitely hear ya on that humidors do look a lot nicer than coolers but as my collection grew I couldn't afford or have the space for any more humidors I been thinking about trying to build a big cabinet style humidor but i'm not too handy and i'm a little worried i'll have to make another one when I run into a space issue again so I ended up getting a few coolers maybe 1 day if i'm lucky and my dreams come true i'll be able to have a nice walk in humidor lol

You know, actually, I was thinking about this a bit more since I made my post and it's actually not JUST about aesthetics. Something like a big cabinet or a walk-in also allows you to easily rotate boxes around, and visually inspect them for mold / beetles / other concerns. Having coolers is all fine, but:

1) you have to open them to look inside them
2) it's a lot harder to get at the items at the very bottom

Now, just due to human nature (I'm 100% guilty of this myself), that means that we will often ignore or put off the items at the very bottom just because we don't want to take EVERYTHING else out to get at them.

I can relate to the whole cost part, but I figured out a long time ago that part of the cost of this hobby is storage. And trust me, from personal experience, figuring out your long term storage actually saves money in the long run so you can build your collection faster

With that attitude i'll end up with a walk in house at the rate I'm going lol but I definitely agree with you one of my main issues with bigger humidors is wasted space I always take the shelves out of my humidors for that reason
