I went there once a few years ago on Christmas Eve while visiting NYC with my wife and son. $28 for a Macanudo Orange Inspirado (which was an underwhelming cigar), $32 for a double pour of Jack Daniels for my son, and I don’t remember how much for a couple of beers for my wife and me. It was only a few blocks from where were staying. If I stayed in the same area again, I’d pass on Club Macanudo. Hope it works out for the OP though.

Gentlemen, unfortunately, it's hard to find a place to smoke cigars in NYC. Most of us can't, or don't want to, smoke cigars in our apartments. Finding a nice place to have a drink and a stogie makes sense. And having a locker with your own cigars is much cheaper than buying them a la carte from the club. You can also smoke what you like that way. @lpferrante says he's an occasional smoker, so splitting a locker sounds like the way to go. Too bad this thread went off the rails. I hope we can all just forgive and forget.

There are small selection of lounges in the city. I prefer the more casual places like Blew Smoke, Harry’s, Soho or the Cave.
I bring a handful of my own smokes to pass around, buy one from their humidors and offer something special to the owner/manager. It always gets me a smile, conversation and maybe a complimentary beverage.
My favorite lounge around here is a place with a small humidor, leather chairs, a few card tables and lots of Italian and Polish guys telling stories and lies.

I knew what you meant. Guys sipping top shelf scotch they don't like, smoking a 17$(actually 3$ online) gurkha and not enjoying it either. But hey look at me, it's all top shelf... lol
