Draw tool badly cracking wrappers

So I have used my draw to twice now and both times the wrapper cracked badly. Anyone else have this problem?

For what it's worth. Both cigars were Coronas stored at an rh of 65%

Any suggestions appreciated
Thanks

Come in from the foot..

Run your cigar under the faucet or spray with dw, let sit for a minute, then wipe it off

Try blowing through the cigar(like purging),it'll moisten the tobacco

Could be technique...
Try going at it incrementally. Little at a time until you get the draw opened up.

Could be the draw tool diameter is too large for a Corona...
Do you have access to a thinner tool?

Could be your hygrometer is wrong.
Dry cigars shouldn't be plugged, but you never know.
Conversely, wet cigars could act plugged. Swollen (wet) filler could make a dry wrapper pop when you hit it with the draw tool. *That sounds unintentionally dirty....lol

The tool is fairly small, and I only poke around the middle. Also. My hygronomer
Is calibrated. So I know that they are at 65rh. Also I do enter from the foot and only do a few poles around the center. Im.just at a loss hete

Bingo! Work your way in a little at a time, pulling some tobacco out as you go to create a channel. Even then, some cigars are simply so overfilled you can't help but create some wrapper flaps. But a dab of cigar glue will usually resolve that just fine if you haven't split the binder too.
Scap and Bigjohn like this.

No doubt. Both products made by a senior member with countless glowing reviews.
