Although we've had a couple of comedians post pictures of the horrible conditions in tropical regions, @bpegler @mi000ke, my situation isn't nearly as traumatic as theirs!!
We are currently seeing temps dipping into the 50s and will drop to as low as 40 in January. Consequently, I still smoke in my back yard, usually with a wood fire, as pictured below. The extra chairs are for the family to make SMORES tonight.
We do get 50+ MPH winds during this time of year, and that drives me into the garage, where I have a small 360° space heater I place between me and my BOTLs.
Oh yeah, I also wear long pants and occasionally a sweater.
There is a thin line between paranoid and prepared.
And one of these: https://www.eurmax.com/premium-10x10...ith-walls.html
That kept us toasty until the wind ripped the stakes out of the ground. Now I go to a BOTLs house who has the same heater and tarps set up under his deck. The only issue is smoke ventilation. Need to create a vent up high to evacuate the smoke along with the excess heat. fyi, the tent was fine until winds hit 30 MPH on thanksgiving morning. (Sand bags on the feet and hairpin rebar stakes)
