I guess I will post mine again. This is my girl Ceilidh (Pronounced Kay-lee). She is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. I adopted her about 7 years ago.She love everyone she meets, but not so much to other dogs. It takes several sessions of butt sniffing through the fence for her to make friends with another dog. She is a little under the weather at the moment with a UTI. But I got her some D-Mannose which does a good job of clearing them up quickly.
She is a good companion for me though, though my old dog Paker was a better wingman. I swear when I took him to the dog park, he had this sixth sense and would latch on to a dog owned by a single lady. They would see our dogs playing, we would talk. I would tell them how when I adopted Parker he had spent a year and a half in foster care waiting to find his forever home, his first family left him chained in a back yard untreated for fleas, despite a bad flea allergy. How he had 8 surgeries and had to go to the vets every 2-3 months to get his thyroid levels checked. On a few occasions I would leave the dog park with a phone number to arrange a play date. He was also smart, well trained and bonded with me instantly from day one. I just I wish could have been blessed with more than his last three years.
