I don’t have any opportunity to hunt where I live because the deer season is strategically scheduled during the hottest months when your sure to have little chance of animals moving around. Thanks California...
That and there is not much land open to public hunting unless you are willing to hike big mountains in the wilderness. Because of this, we have very few hunting accidents. The guys who are passionate about hunting have to work their ass off to get a deer so the woods are not dense with people running around with high powered rifles. And those who are, take it very seriously.
I’ve hunted in upstate New York on private property that is owned by very cautious and intelligent people. You would never catch me walking around the woods on public land in those parts. Just seem to be littered with irresponsible knuckle heads who shoot at anything that moves.
I own several guns and love to shoot, but I was introduced to guns at a very young age by men who did not tolerate foolishness.
