Exclamation Lighters Revisited

I was watching this man lighting his pipe on a YouTube video and the flame looked like a jet engine - bright blue flame. He just held the lighter straight up and down pointing the flame directly down into the bowl, and I said that's a great way to light a pipe! No wind gonna budge that flame.
Does anyone know what kind of lighter I'm describing? And if they are good, or just look good?

Ok, thanks for your time and input.

Itís a cigar torch 2000*f +/- and itís a really bad idea, one slip and youíve ruined a pipe not to mention that with a flame that hot it would be almost impossible to not scorch the tobacco.

If I see a stick that made a noob nic sick,I put it on my list as a must try. (UBC03)

When I got my first pipe I used one of those lighters. I burnt a portion of the top of the bowl. They are a bad idea for pipes. They work fine with cigars.

Stick to soft flame lighters. I prefer my Zippo pipe lighters since I only smoke outside.

Unanimous vote! Thanks for watching my back everyone. One thing I know I"ll get here on the boards is brutal honesty.
But keeps me from making big mistakes!

Thanks Insignia100. I smoke mainly outside also. I guess the Zippo pipe lighters and the ones that give a nice soft flame, that comes out at about 45 degree angle so you don't have to put your whole fist in your bowl

Does this sound like your Zippo, Insignia?

Thanks bro

Thanks, OneStrangeOne for admonishing me to stay away from this style of lighter. You see? I do still have much to learn!
