Arrow Salvaging an overpacked pipe

Hey everyone, I have a question. I was just smoking a bowl of very nice tobacco when I realized I had overpacked it just a smidge, but enough to bother me. Is there anyway for pipe smokers to salvage an overpacked bowl once it has been charred and then relit??? I was thinking maybe I could pierce the tobacco in the bowl a couple of time to open it up a bit, but I don't know what the heck I'm doing. Anyone here have any advice, I'd love to finish this bowl of fine tobacco.

Thanks a million, Prozac

Do you have a 3 in 1 pipe tool?

Use the pick and push it down the side of the bowl to the bottom and gently lift up while bringing the point toward the center.

If I see a stick that made a noob nic sick,I put it on my list as a must try. (UBC03)

Me personally I use a poker off the pipe tool to try to loosen it up some, but I make sure to dump off the ash first before doing so as to not mix it in.

I am not dying until I am damn good and ready.

You can also run a pipe cleaner down the stem into the bowl. I find that many times when I get a difficult draw its because the tobacco is a little bit too tight around the draft hole.
