My pistol has a brace atm and I don't know if removing that inplace of the bullpup kit still makes it ok or not. Why do they make things so complicated?

Looks about right, but a couple of quibbles. The AR pistol with the vertical fore grip listed as "weapon" - I think that is a big no no.

Also an SBR isn't "illegal" it just requires a tax stamp. Kind of a technicality but I think that is the one that applies to the bullpup question. If it isn't a brace and can be interpreted as a stock it needs a stamp.

@huffer33 is right. I believe thatís going to end up being classified as a short barrel rifle, which requires a tax stamp. Itís really stupid considering they function the same way as a pistol, except they have a shoulder brace.

Thanks for the info. I'm not extending the barrel so it will stay the way it is. Will post a pic later when I get around to it.

I canít claim to be an expert on the classification, but they do seem a bit ridiculous and convoluted. Seems like thithe sort thing you get when people legislate things that they know nothing about.

I don't think that bullpup chassis would work out without going to a rifle barrel. The pic you posted appears to have a 16" barrel... remember with a bullpup the barrel starts back where the action is, well behind the grip. The way I'm looking at it your existing pistol barrel would be buried way up inside of the chassis, which not only would make it an SBR, but seems like it'd be too darned easy to shoot your own fingers off!

Besides, an AR (or other advanced) pistol with a brace is way cooler anyway. You're not allowed to shoulder it legally; you can actually be charged with owning an unregistered SBR if you get caught doing that. But when zombies start attacking, who cares?
