I picked up a new to me rifle this week. It is a BRNO Model 5 Deluxe .22LR which is sitting on the sand bags. I had it out yesterday along with a Zastava CZ99 (middle rifle) and my Ruger M77 Hawkeye African 9,3x62mm(in front)

The BRNO shots minute of a jackrabbit.

I love my Holosun RDS that's on my CZ Scorpion but I don't want to swap them between the two and have to rezero everytime I go to the range.
Last "budget" red dot I bought was from Primary Arms. It has been great so far. It even took a drop from about 15 feet, didn't bother it all. Lifetime warranty on it as well. Good people too.

BCG and charging handle should be in this week for this build. Spikes zombie lower, Anderson upper, 20" bull barrel, 17" handgard. Obviously not lightweight, but it'll get a bipod, and the Primary Arms 1-8 scope with illuminated ACSS reticle. Between the bull barrel and the H2 buffer it should feel nice and smooth. Looking forward to the 300 yard range with this one in the near future.

@poppajon75 - we go way back, so i feel obligated to post this: 98% of 556 builds will be just fine, but knowing you got your barrel and bcg from different sources - you should perform a headspace check just to be 100%.

Good grief that's a heavy bbl. Thought it was a suppressor because I was going backwards up the page...pics before words. Better be a tack driver for the amount of weight you're adding

Sage advice @SoCal Gunner. I'm looking at a set of Go/No Go gauges from PTG. They're proud of them, but they seem to have a reliable reputation. It was a whole other rabbit hole reading through a thousand or so paragraphs based on the debate to use a .556 or .223 headspace gauge on a .223 Wylde when in reality, they make one just for it. Although from my research the only difference between them is the freebore and lead angle, which does matter. The Wylde is really meant to negate any pitch and yaw of the chambered round helping with accuracy. Of course that's another debate in itself. I will be doing a headspace check through for the fact that the barrel is a BCA and the BCG is the PSA NiB.

That's a bench baby designated plinker. Or if a buddy had a nice porch to lay the bipod on to sight in some varmints...
