Any idea....

what this is for?
Looks to be burned (branded) in. Not on any other boxes that I looked at in my possession.

I've occasionally seen similar marks on some boxes, but I have no idea what it is. Best guess would be some sort of inspection mark.

We sometimes see paper inspection seals added over the other seals & stickers that have been cut, so it's not from random checks after the boxes are filled and completed. But maybe it notes inspection of the box builds? Or it might signify the end of a production run... maybe?

In summary: I don't know! Hoping someone else does.

The mark is doing it’s job....f&$cking with you. If it was consistent we would know by now what it was for, but the inconsistency is the proof.....a cuban spoof. In the factories they laugh hysterically as they burn it into the bottom of random boxes and shout “uno mas por lo pinche gueros”.

That mark means that the tobacco used in those cigars is radioactive bro.
Couldn't resist bro i was binge watching John Goodman movies last night.
10 Cloverfield Lane was one of them.

I doubt its an inspection mark as i have never seen one of those burned in.
Unless its for the inspection of the box before the cigars were put in.
That appears to have been done when the bottom of the box was stamped.
