Oliveros Oscuro REVIEW

A little history:
Habana Cuba Cigar Company (Oliveros) was founded over 7 years ago by Rafael Nodal, Alina Nodal, and Hank Bischoff. Since then, the company has been doing very well and has opened a new, larger facility in the Dominican Republic. In addition to this facility, they also opened the doors to their Miami Lakes warehouse facility with a refrigerated humidor and space that can hold over 1 million cigars.

This cigar is from the King Havano line which is produced in Nicaragua.

Country of Origin: Dominican Republic
Wrapper: OscuroBinder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan (Ligero from Esteli, Condega, and Jalapa)
Shape: Corona Gorda (Squire)
Size: 5 X 48
Draw: Good(Slight resistance)
Great(Ash not as solid as I like, but it wasn’t bad)

The first 1/3 of this cigar was very rich and earthy.

The second 1/3 offered a slight sweetness, thick cocoa, and some spice.

The last 1/3 was spicy and a little nutty, with a hint of charred wood.

Re: Oliveros Oscuro REVIEW

Oliveros King Havano mad.Fuerte Squire 5x48 cbid Nov-10 $3.33
Smoked: Sep-11
Rating: 3
Well made, but flavor is burnt toast with some overtones of a McDonalds hambuger, with aftertaste of cardboard. If you like these, I think you might as well smoke cigarettes.
I won't buy again.
