I only like certain RP lines but in general, I hate to say it but his cigars are not particularly flash.

Another band change indicates a poor consumer reception.

A lot of problems in the world can be solved if everyone takes the time to relax and have a cigar.:hippie:

The poor consumer reception is well deserved.

While this is a full bodied smoke that isn't for everyone, to label it as the 601 Hardcore ignores all of its complexity and nuance.

Fortunately, I believe that this cigar will hold up very well to long term aging. I plan on buying a few boxes of the old labels while they're still available.

Sorry to go OT but I had my first Thai coffee after eating a large Thai dinner this past weekend and it was FANTASTIC. Definitely won't be my last.

It really is great.

It's also easy to make yourself.

Don't the Thai coffee come in ready mix packets or am I thinking something else?

I'm sure that instant Thai coffee packets exist, but something like this, Thai Iced Coffee Recipe | MyRecipes.com, would most be almost as easy and probably a lot better.

Those bands are a bad sign. I've heard they are already changing them again.

Oh-- why would you think RP would screw up anything? After all, aren't a good percentage of his cigars rated 90 or above by cigar aficionado?

LOL.

IMO, I would buy up some of the old boxes if you can.

Re: 601 Green Habano Oscuro Tronco Review

I just had one of the original band ones last night from a 10-pack I got off cbid. So, based on the fact that it had the original band, I'm guessing it's at least a year old (isn't that when they changed the band?)

Man, it was frickin' great! Had absolutely stellar everything: taste, burn, draw. It was effortless to smoke and was oh so tasty until the nub.
The amazing thing is that this 10-pack arrived at my house Monday and I smoked it Thursday. For some reason, these things smoke almost flawlessly pretty close to ROTT (and I don't find that to be the case with most CI cigars).

I think I will have another tonight!

After being a long time DPG fan and having many 601's I'm a little scared RP may have messed with them. I wad one 3 nights ago and while really enjoyed it I don't think it quite measured up.

I need to find an old one for an updated comparison.
