Another great review!

Loved the comment, "...not gonna' be a little wus of a cigar"; certainly proved to be true. I have not had that particular vitola, but Herrera Esteli is one of my favorite NC's on the market. Not sure whether the Piramide Finos is naturally just that much stronger than the others I've had, or if I didn't notice how strong they were since my preferences tend to lean that way. But I do not disagree, they are definitely not for the faint of heart.

On a more general note, your explanation of how the flavors we perceive in cigars are really what they make us think of more so than the exact taste is dead-on insightful. Every Noob who asks why they aren't getting all the flavors they hear about should take notice of that.

Good review...sometimes you get a little off topic on things...I thought your description of this blend was spot on. They are a full bodied spicy cigar in an unassuming lighter wrapper.

Very much some barnyard and earth character of a cuban cigar in these. I suspect some of the spice comes from the ecuador wrapper being not too far along in the aging.

I've had other blends of Nicaragua/ecuador wrapped cigars much smoother but they were years aged.
