Big Ben Gallery 302

I had this little Big Ben pipe dedicated to heavy aromatic tobaccos as Winslow, below as it was:

after some simple restoration with an acrylic ring added now looks like this:

You can see the procedure step by step here: ????? ??? ?????? (???????? ?????): ????????? ?????-7? ?????
The pipe code is: M7-9

or you can watch it in a video with slide show photos and instrumental music:

That's an acrylic stem...looks great on that kind of pipe even though it's a bit gimmicky. You only get a "honey taste" the first couple of times you smoke it as it wears off. They spray the inside of the bowl with a chemical to reproduce the taste of honey and it goes away afterwards but I just love the color of these.

My first pipe I bought was in 1977 and it was a Savinelli...had a nice 'bite proof' stem ...Big Ben style which I find to be easier to smoke..balanced and use a big bowl cuz I can't stand small ones where I have to repack after a 1/2 hour. For shorter smoking sessions I'm looking at a Church Warden...I just think they look "cool." They have a great history as to why their stems were so long.... the night watchmen or "Church Wardens" stems were elongated so the smoke and the pipe wouldn't be in their line of sight as they kept watch.
