Looks like Thursday will be the best day next week to get a stick in.

So I got that new car.. a week and a half driving to Pittsburgh and running errands..

TWENTY- TWO DOLLARS IN FREAKIN GAS... I was putting 15 -20 A DAY in my truck.. put well over a thousand miles on it so and put 32 dollars in gas..

Can't believe I made fun of these cars for so long..

I smoke my pipe and cigars in the kitchen. It will help if you turn on the fan on the range hood.

My fan blows back into the kitchen. I have been price checking electric radiant heaters for the garage. I only need one small enough to keep me somewhat warm long enough to finish the cigar.

That's pretty good! What kind of car did you get?

My old Cummins-powered Ram and my (nearing antique status) 4Runner are my go-to daily drivers and I thought I was in heaven getting 21-23 MPG in each of them. I guess just about anything is better than the 9 MPG I get in my 4x4 gas-guzzler-special when there's a trailer behind it.

When drone technology advances, hands-free umbrellas are going to be incredible.

Haha- that's exactly what my gas-guzzler-special is. 2009 Tundra 4x4 with a couple of (shh!) tweaks under the hood. Chain up to a stump and you can pull the Earth out of orbit, but don't pull a trailer across the desert if there aren't gas stations every 100 miles apart.

I drove from deep south Alabama to Omaha, Nebraska back in July to buy a vintage Airstream. I did pretty well, averaging 15 MPG on the way up and making good time. 9 MPG on the way back was a bit of a bummer though. And that's not even running the air conditioner. If Toyota would release a diesel version of the Tundra, I'd stand in line to upgrade.
