Re: Travelling with Pipe/Tobacco at the airport

I've raised a few eyebrows at times, but no real problems. One issue I had was moving out to college again, I had a carryon full of baccy that they had to really probe, since I guess all the metal,...

Re: Any BIG pipe shops in New England?

Leavitt isn't really that good at all. They've got a handful of pipes, all are quite expensive, no tinned selection to speak of, and maybe 20-30 bulk blends, half of which are aromatic, and the other...

Re: Go for a walk with your pipe?

Its rare if I smoke when I'm not walking around. Its not as good a smoke at all (I smoke faster when I'm walking I find), especially combined with the wind (wind caps are great, but I forget them all...

Re: pipes on youtube

Well sure, but its still weird to have them smoking. I mean, I like hot ladies and all, but it doesn't really make sense for me to go nuts over some good looking females sitting around reading the...

Re: pipes on youtube

Re: Pipes and flying

Going to and from college I've brought my entire collection with me, and haven't really had a problem. I always carry it on, since I don't want to risk one of my babies breaking, and I don't know...

Re: Great Pipe Photos...

Wow, those are pretty good. I really like the sort of hidden egg shape pipe. The others are all blatant comparisons ("this is an apple next to an apple, get it?!"), but the egg seems fairly clever...

Re: Photos of your pipes

Just went out to get a new pipe, in celebration of finishing the school year, getting my first paycheck for this summer's job. I was going to spend $40 at most, but I saw this $75 poker that just...

Re: Tonights Smoke II - FOR PIPES

I'm gonna go sit on my porch with a bowl of PS LNF. Maybe later tonight I'll go for another bowl of Old Gowrie, since I recently popped my first tin of it, and I'm trying to get a handle on it.

Re: People's reactons to your pipe smoking?

It varies for people I know. Most of my highschool friends (I just finished my freshman year at college) think its odd, except for one friend. Me and him both started smoking at the same time, and...

Re: How to stay healthy as a pipe smoker [video]

Guilty conscience much?

Some of the stuff he said was interesting, I didn't know dentists could check for oral cancer.

Also seconding...

Re: Smoking in the Summer...

This is exactly what cobs are for. That said, when I've tried smoking at beaches, even with a cob, I can't get it to work at all with the crazy amounts of wind. I guess its easy enough to light it...

Re: Ribbon cut vapers?

Seconding the Peretti Park Square. Beautiful loose ribbon cut, fairly mild, but not bland, with a nice consistent sweetness to it in my experience.

Re: P-lip, fishtail, army mouthpiece. What is the difference?

A p-lip has its air hole on the top, instead of the side, of the stem. This means that when you draw on it smoke shoots to the roof of your mouth, as compared to going towards the back of your...

Re: Elitist I Think Not. People Think I'm a Criminal

I don't see why, just because something is associated with weed (and hookahs aren't even. A hookah is not for weed, they don't work very well with it, and I'd wager that very few people actually use...

Re: Elitist I Think Not. People Think I'm a Criminal

I'd take it as a compliment that someone thinks I could roll something that well.

Re: Elitist I Think Not. People Think I'm a Criminal

I've always heard :ws talk about how police can't search your car, blah blah blah. But if that were me, since there wasn't anything to find and I just wanted them to get it over with, I might let...

Re: FM and EMP where to go from here????

I can't say I like EMP too much. I can't really get over the unlit aroma (I believe it would be "barnyard" to a wine taster), but the few times I have smoked it its been ok, but nothing exceptional....

Escudo tins

I was reading the back of my tin of escudo, and I noticed that they had misprinted the CA/cancer warning, so it went something like "this product contains/produces chemicals known to the state of...

Re: How do you smoke so much

I smoke 5-6 bowls per day (usually 4-5 of those are from shorter-smoking cobs though). I'm a student with lots of free time, so I usually start the day off going to class with a bowl, maybe one...

Re: Briar grain, aesthetics or heat dissipation?

I think its a crock of ****, I don't have anything to back that up, it just doesn't sound like it makes any sense to me. It certainly does make a pipe look pretty though.

Re: Chicago 2008 video

Ugh. If only my school let out a week early so I could've been in Chicago last weekend, instead of this one. Cool video non the less.

Re: Lowest Bulk Tobacco Prices by Store/Brand/Location/Shipping Costs

I find SP to be tad bit more expensive than P&C when I put together largish (~$100), varied orders (usually a mix of tins and bulk from many tins). Then again, that's probably mostly due to the price...

Re: Photos of your pipes

I really like that style of stem on the ardor fantasy, where the shank flows seemlessly into the plastic of the stem, making it look like one solid piece, minus the color change. I think one of...
